To fulfil these purposes, the Associations for Parents of Children with Disabilities will play an important role in improving the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families. It will serve several purposes, including the following:
Advocacy
Defending and promoting the rights of children with disabilities, ensuring they receive equal opportunities and treatment.
Support
Providing emotional support and guidance to Parents with children with disabilities, helping them navigate challenges and access resources.
Community Building
Creating a sense of community among families and children with disabilities, fostering connections and understanding.
Education & Awareness
Raising awareness about disability issues, promoting inclusivity, and educating the public about the needs and rights of children with disabilities.
Service Provision
With the help of different organisations and individuals within the immediate and extended society; offering various services, such as healthcare, education, and other support, to children with disabilities and their families.
Empowerment
Empowering children with disabilities to take control of their lives, make informed decisions, and reach their full potential.
Promoting Social Inclusion
Encouraging the inclusion of children with disabilities in all aspects of society, including education, and social activities.
Resources
Soliciting and disbursement of resources; provision of counselling, therapy, and respite care, to support families and children with disabilities.
Influencing Policy
Advocating for policies and laws that protect the rights and interests of children with disabilities.
